Friends of MontanaPBS
The Board of the Friends of MontanaPBS is currently a 26-member board with representatives from Bozeman, Missoula, Helena, Great Falls, Butte, Billings, Whitefish, Miles City, Florence, and Huntley. These board members work to raise funds for MontanaPBS, provide advice, and give a voice to the 12,000 plus member households across Montana.

Meetings are held at 5:30pm on the third Wednesday of September, November, January, March and May via various MetNet video sites in Bozeman, Missoula, Helena, Great Falls, Butte, Kalispell, Billings and Miles City. An annual face-to-face meeting is held in August. Board Chair - Yvonne Gastineau Gritzner - Florence
A Bozeman native, Yvonne earned a B.A. from Pomona College and an M.A. from Middlebury College, is a former Peace Corps Volunteer, teacher of English and French, and retired after sixteen years as Program Officer of Montana Committee for the Humanities (now Humanities Montana). She has served on the UM MOLLI Program Committee, as Vice Chair for Nominations and Recruitment on the Friends Board, and is a member of the Florence Civic Club.

Vice Chair for Development – Bart Freese – Miles City
Bart is a teacher and the principal of Sacred Heart School in Miles City. He earned a B.A. from The University of Montana and a teaching certificate from MSU Bozeman. He has helped launch Miles City News Network, an internet newsletter produced by the school which includes youtube videos. He also was an actor in the award-winning MTPBS production of "Evelyn Cameron: Pictures From A Worthy Life" in which he played Ewen Cameron.



 

Vice Chair for Nominations and Recruitment – Richard Young - Bozeman
Dick is a retired oncologist/hematologist. Born in Arizona, he earned his MD at Stanford University, served as a physician in the USAF and was a physician and administrator at the Colorado Permanente Medical Group. He has volunteered as a docent and is past president of the board of the Museum of the Rockies, past president of the Madison Gallatin Chapter of the Montana Wilderness Association, past member of the BLM Resource Advisory Council for Western Montana, and co-founder and president of the Wonderlust Life Long Learning program in Bozeman.

Campaigns Treasurer – Trish Larsen - Missoula
Trish was born and raised in Ohio farm country. She holds both a B.S. and M.S. from the Ohio State University majoring in research design and statistics. She is presently employed as a business consultant for software application programs and databases. Lives on Sky Range ranch with husband, Cliff and 2 border collies, Skyler and Ranger, raising cattle, thoroughbred horses, chickens and hay.



 

Operations Treasurer – Nancy Morrison - Huntley
Nancy lives on a ranch near Huntley, holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management from Rocky Mountain College and has a variety of professional experience in accounting and bookkeeping and customer service. She has experience as a home-schooling family and works full-time for the Billings Association of REALTORS®, Inc., as Accounting Director. She is involved in several writing projects and is a member of Billings Community Orchestra.

Secretary – Germaine Conrad - Missoula
Germaine Conrad holds a degree from Oakland University in Rochester Michigan, is a former German and English teacher, creator and radio producer of KUFM’s “Children’s Corner” and “Listeners’ Bookstall,” county commissioner and realtor. She is a long-time member of the Five Valley Chorus, Sweet Adelines International, and creates and sells her own line of jewelry.
