With help from the locals, it took Greg Mortenson less than 3 months to build a school in Hushe. That was 3 years and 38 students ago. Today, the Hushe school in northern Pakistan has 91 students including 22 girls. Gene Brodeur visits with the former mountain climber about his efforts to improve education in this politically volatile part of the world.
